Serving The Community
My name is Joan K. Mell, and I am running to be your Ravalli County Attorney. I am asking for your vote in the primary election on June 7, 2022. Your vote will truly make the difference this June. If you typically wait for the general election, November will be too late. Please get your ballot out soon to make your vote count in this important race involving keeping Ravalli County safe.
I firmly believe that good government comes from transparency and a willingness to engage openly in tough conversations. From personal experience with the current Attorney's Office here in Ravalli County, I am concerned the office lacks a sense of urgency or the capacity to serve this community. I don’t want the warmth and caring of this community lost. I want to be a part of protecting it. I have been asked to do so, and I am up for the task!

I was asked to run for Ravalli County Attorney by members of the Ravalli County Bar Association. Attorneys from across the County have raised their voices and asked for a candidate to be a more just advocate for our community.
